short subject description |
Issues taken up during class are similar for everyone however the complexity level of given tasks varies – is adjusted to each year of study separately, as well as to each student individually. The scope of tasks fulfilled aims at gradual advancement of drawing skills obtained on the earlier stage of academic education. Assignments for the II year of study focus on nature analyzing, based on observing a human model. III year students realize drawing exercises basing on skills and experience obtained during the II year of study, at the same time they search for their own form of artistic expression by experimenting with different media. Throughout three-years time spent working in the studio students gradually develop their own artistic consciousness. At the end of educational process in our studio a IV year student understands that drawing is a language of artistic expression that serves one’s individual, independent creative work and knows how to use it purposefully. Students’ work in the studio ends with preparing a set of drawings to supply his/her master thesis presentation. |

form of classes |
The level of assigned drawing tasks and exercises complexity is varied – different for each year of study, it is often being modified for each student individually. The principal of treating each student as an individual is the basic strategy of working in our studio. Analyzing each student’s possibilities individually, discovering the scope of his/her sensitivity, searching for didactic methods to serve him/her with advice and help is the teacher’s task. II year students develop their drawing skills by performing tasks based on human acts – posing models. III and IV year students complete also thematic assignments with the use of chosen and developed means including new media. The studios goal is that a student finishing this three-year educational period in the Drawing Studio can consciously choose appropriate form for his/her artistic expression. |
