The basis for assessment is the student's participation in classes and reviews; completing all exercises and preparing a term paper; participation in the semester review. The presentation of exercises and works from the whole semester is assessed, which allows you to compare the individual progress and commitment of the student, as well as the formal and artistic value of the resulting works. Assessment Criteria: -value and strength of artistic expression of completed exercises and term papers - formal coherence of the resulting work and skillful use of basic directing - technical and technological advancement of the implemented projects (in the scope of assembly, post-production, and photos) -coherent selection of means of expression concerning the individually selected topic of work - involvement during classes, exercises and group workshop activities - individual progress of the student in the area related to the subject |

The course aims to familiarize students with the basic aspects of film narrative that can be used for the needs of the contemporary visual artist. As part of the course, students will outline all the elementary stages of mini video production. The main assumption is to shape students' sensitivity to basic means of expression and to provide them with technological and technical knowledge in the form of basic skills in creating film material, as well as its editing processing. Classes will have a workshop character, based on practical work (individual and group), besides, we will analyze outstanding (from a painter's point of view) films that students will watch outside the class. During the film basics classes, it is also necessary for the student to generate their video footage for postproduction purposes in the classroom. The goal of film basics education is to develop key observational skills and skillful fiction creation. The basic principles of the film language learned by the student can be used as a tool for working on projections in public space or creating videos for exhibition purposes. Classes include practical knowledge of the basics of digital film technology and other forms of video. |

The form of the subject is mainly practical editing classes in the studio, critics, and correction of exercises, as well as project consultations. Workshops, as well as presentations and lectures on specific aspects related to the subject, are also possible. The basis is exercises performed in classes to teach students how to use digital video technology and its postproduction possibilities. To pass the semester, the student prepares a semester work. |

With particular emphasis on the basics of cinematography & video production, the ability of documentation and image creation expressed in the exercises: 1) Video clip - an exercise to create a video-audio implementation in the form of visualization, music video, video-image in which sound or music plays an important role.
