The basis for assessment is the scope and completeness of the tasks performed.
- Objective cognitive: analysis and interpretation of selected issues based on the methodology in the given direction, expanding knowledge in the given area.
- Purpose of educating: proper selection and use of literature, skilful assessment of the credibility of sources and information used in the work, ability to make theses, taking new interpretative paths, asking questions and formulating answers. Troubleshooting and modifying existing problems / solutions
- Practical purpose: the desire to expand knowledge through self-searching, ability to build long utterance, ability to organise work and taking responsibility for the implementation of its own projects, using the acquired knowledge to construct artistic work.

The aim of the course is to prepare the student for theoretical thesis writing, which in most cases is related to the topic of the practical diploma. Students are about mastering the technique of writing a job, skillfully building a logical arguments, and making theses based on your own observations and analysis of selected literature. The theoretical knowledge of students in the field of history and theory of art as well as culture and the way of their analytical approach to selected topics is being strengthened. The seminar also prepares for independent appearances, preparing descriptions and texts about own works and artistic projects.

The scope of implemented topics depends on the interests of students. In the course of the seminar, common rules for the construction of the text in the form of exercises will be worked out:
