Forms / tools for validating learning outcomes in the field of:

knowledge - consultation, knowledge of reading, knowledge of the subject; deepening the problems of written work;
skills - preparation for consultation, application of knowledge, understanding of the issues taken in the context of individual reading and contemporary art; correction of written work;
social competences - constructive, independent and conscious preparation of a written work based on an independent concept and individual choice of reading;
 

Credit - final grade, assessment criteria:

 

1. preparation of a written essay according to faculty criteria - after sem. summer;

2. presentations of work progress during consultations (min. 3 in the semester);

3. final assessment: based on activity and consultation, and assessment of written work;

very good: compositional, stylistic and linguistic essay, as well as conceptual and content / erudition writing at a very good level; activity and passing consultations at a very good / or good level;

good: compositional, stylistic and linguistic essay as well as conceptual and content / erudition on a good level; activity and passing consultations at a good level;

satisfactory: composition, stylistic and linguistic essay, as well as conceptual and content / erudition at a satisfactory level; activity and passing consultations at a sufficient level;

unsatisfactory: written work in composition, style and language as well as conceptually and in content / erudition at an insufficient level / or failure to complete a written work; inactivity and failure to complete consultations;

subject description

- Cognitive goal: In-depth knowledge of the selected theoretical problem, developing it at the analytical level and interpretation of the presented material according to an individually adopted method; conceptual development of the issue based on individually collected literature;

- Educational purpose: Critical analysis of sources exemplifying the thesis of written work; mastering the editorial workshop of the written work;

- Practical purpose: Building a longer written statement; Exercise the basics of writing skills in the field of narrative on topics related to art; Organization of student's own work - encouragement and initiation of research work and interpretation of sources.

short subject description

Classes are designed to prepare the student to write a thesis (commentary supplementing the practical diploma) taking into account the individual topic of work of individual students. The series of classes mainly concerns the art of writing and narrating a longer written text, linking it to the foundations of a writing workshop, and also involves working on the selection and critical analysis of sources from the field of art and related fields in terms of thesis.

discussion methods: seminar, individual correction of the conceptual plan of the written work and a fragment of the written text;

 

Contact hours resulting from the study plan - 30 hours.

Non-contact hours - student's own work: 270 hours (reading, library time, concept development / correction of the written work plan)

individual hours of meetings with students:
1- 4. An extensive lecture related to the methodology of written work - in relation to the methodologies of work writing used in the works (visual anthropology, hermeneutics, "reading" the image, sociology of art);
5-10. Individual presentations of topics - in the scope of the basics of written methodology (within art anthropology with elements of art history, theory of understanding and image analysis); -Theory of thesis: a question of methodology; what philosophy to recall Whom to quote? Derrida or Kołakowski?
11-15. Analysis / correction of written work: - construction of a long text on the subject of art and form of work. Basics of written work workshop - analysis of the methodology used and the adopted language / stylistic solutions. Correction of the first versions of the entire text;
16-20. Individual presentation of written work - workshop scope; - Visual language: show vision - "show and tell" - Criticism of work on text about a visual image / presentation, use of visual materials; use of methodologies related to intelligence, or materials related to qualitative research;
21-25. Critical analysis of individual fragments of written works - consultations in terms of concept, composition and writing skills: truth and coherence of the text;

26-30. Correction of all student essays: critical and thematic credibility; analysis and interpretation of visual and narrative material; interpretation of a visual work of art in the context of the subject; methodological inter-semioticity.
